STATEMENT

The research group on the clinical applications of virtual reality was formed in 2022 and brings together practitioners from different fields, wishing to explore the therapeutic and/or diagnostic possibilities offered by virtual reality.
Stelline is interested in the uses of virtual reality in mental health (psychiatry, child psychiatry, gerontology) and in addictology, and concentrates its efforts on the anxiolytic function of virtual reality, through the design and development of modular software.
The strictly analgesic function of virtual reality and its applications in somatic medicine constitutes the second center of interest of the members of the group. This function has been widely documented and used in the medical field since the early 90′ (about this analgesic function and its clinical applications, more information HERE).
Stelline also wishes to be able to participate in the dissemination to the greatest number of practitioners concerned of information relating to the therapeutic applications of virtual reality, their use in public and private hospitalization and their clinical evaluation.
For this, the publication of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and participation in significant scientific congresses are the next steps that the members of the group have set themselves for the year 2025.
Alongside the development of virtual reality content, in 2024 Stelline added a new functional entity, Galdev, dedicated to the development of non-therapeutic software for the medical field, and in particular the development of organisational applications for carers, patients and decision-makers in the sector.
