THERAPEUTIC USES

As with all the applications offered by Stelline, the content of LOPOLI has been developed by experienced practitioners.

The primary aim of LOPOLI is to reduce the patient's pain and anxiety during the administration of medical and paramedical care.

The application can be used during care that causes mild to moderate pain, during recurrent care required by certain chronic pathologies (haemodialysis, chemotherapy, etc.), or during prolonged waiting periods.

The application is available in two versions: LOPOLI I for children aged 6 to 14 and LOPOL II developed specifically for adults.

LOPOLI I has been specifically developed for paediatric use. The application offers young patients a story divided into episodes. The number and length of the episodes can be adapted to the duration of the various treatments. The continuity of the LOPOL I story and the child's identification with the characters help to stimulate their curiosity for the rest of the story and counterbalance the tediousness of repeating the moments they spend in the care setting.

LOPOLI II uses the same narrative process to offer an experience based on the immersion principle specific to virtual reality.

But the LOPOLI I and LOPOLI II applications also act on the patient's perception of the duration of care, helping to avoid the appearance of traumatic symptoms with regard to carers and/or the place of care, and preventing failure to comply or refusal of subsequent care.
